A slightly eccentric little character from the water’s edge. The Pond Keeper features Karrie’s original duck artwork on a handmade, wheel-thrown stoneware vessel.
Its soft natural palette and deliberately simple form allow the illustration to take centre stage. Hand-poured with soy wax, it is both a candle and a piece of functional ceramic art.
Once finished, the vessel is made to be kept and repurposed rather than discarded.
The Pond Keeper
Through reeds and quiet water,
beneath a paling sky,
the pond keeps all its stories
as the evening drifts by.
